My brother and his girlfriend Heather flew up from Florida to meet the little guy. My mom flew up the week before and my dad drove up for the weekend, so we were able to spend the weekend together as a family, and it wasn't even a holiday!! I LOVED having everyone together!!!

Grandma came and spent a whole week with us. She taught Cannon lots of new skills including holding a rattle and sucking his fingers. He was already getting good at producing lots of drool!

The Original Ornament bead store

Rebekkah, my mom and I had a girls night and went to the bead store to make some jewelry. You should've seen mom in her jeweler's glasses. She made some beautiful earrings. We each had a fun time and made some really cool stuff that night.

Aunt Alice and Uncle Bob visit from Scranton, PA

We had a really fun time hanging out with Aunt Alice and Uncle Bob when they stopped by our house to meet Cannon en route to their house in Florida. It means so much to us that they would take the time and effort to visit us.

Valentine's Day Festivities

The guys in our couples bible study group decided to cook dinner for the ladies for Valentine's Day. The menu included choice of filet, chicken cordon bleu, and fettuccine alfredo,homemade caesar salad, asparagus, mashed potatoes and bananas foster for dessert! It was an amazing dinner. Much better than any restaurant! Dennis is wearing his suit sans collared shirt in the picture because someone spilled red wine on it.

a monumental moment. . .

We are working really hard to get Cannon to sleep in his crib. He used to sleep in his carseat when we first brought him home b/c he hated sleeping flat in his basinet. Then he was sleeping in the bed with us for a while. Then he started sleeping in his swing which actually bought us an entire night's sleep for the first time in almost three months. Now, we are trying with a lot of effort and little success to transition him to sleep in his crib. I took a picture of him taking a daytime nap in it since I was so proud.

Working on standing

Cannon's legs are getting really strong. He stands for quite a while without buckling. He wiggles his hips for balance and concentrates really hard. Dennis has his hands on him for some support, but he is really holding up most of his weight. He is also blowing lots of bubbles especially when he is focusing on something. We're trying to work on sitting and "tummy time", but standing is his favorite at the moment.
